At its January 27 meeting, the Triunfo Water & Sanitation District (TWSD) five-member board of directors elected Leon Shapiro as its new board chair and Carl Jarecky as vice chair.

In November, board members Shapiro and James Wall were sworn in to new four-year terms and Carl Jarecky was selected last January to fill a board vacancy, and also was sworn in in November.

“TWSD has positioned itself well to meet the water needs of our customers,” says Shapiro. “In 2025, we will continue to make progress on the Las Virgenes-Triunfo Joint Powers Authority’s Pure Water Project. There have been significant steps forward in advancing the project, which aims to enhance water sustainability in the region and reduce our dependence on imported potable water.”

Wall served as TWSD board chair in 2024. "The board is committed to providing a safe and reliable water supply to our customers—now and in the years to come," says Wall.

The board convenes on the fourth Monday of each month at the district’s Westlake Village office and over Zoom. More information can be found at www.triunfowsd.com.
