Calvary Community Church began as a group of Christ followers meeting in a local restaurant. Throughout it's history, Calvary Community has been committed to living and loving like Jesus in the Conejo Valley.
From the season in the Hungry Tiger, we moved worship locations to what is affectionately known as The Warehouse, just a short distance away from our present facility. In The Warehouse we welcomed new people to the Calvary family, celebrating their growth as followers of Jesus. At the same time, we have wanted to reach across the globe to share Jesus' love, and have been honored to support both short term teams and long term missionaries internationally.
In 1999, Calvary was able to relocate from The Warehouse to a new, larger facility that would help enhance our ministry capacity. So on Palm Sunday, 1999, the whole church marched from one location to the other. We celebrated 10 years in our current location on Palm Sunday, 2009. Of course, Calvary is, and has always been, much more than a building. Listen to Senior Pastor Shawn Thornton and founding Pastor Larry DeWitt reflect on the move from the Warehouse to our current facility.
Calvary continues to be committed to living and loving like Jesus in the Conejo Valley, as our home, as well as internationally. We'd love for you to take your next step in being part of our story.
