Tang Soo Do means ''the art of the knife hand'' or ''the way of the Chinese hand.'' It contains characteristics of Chinese internal methods and Japanese striking styles. Tang Soo Do is a modern martial art and it's purpose is to develop every aspect of the 'self' in order to produce a mature person who can totally integrate his intellect, emotions, body and spirit.
Jacob Flame's Tang Soo Do University has been offering instruction and training in Martial Arts since 2005. Located in Newbury Park, CA. Jacob Flame's Tang Soo Do University has produced champions in life as well as in the martial arts.
Headed by Jacob Flame (6th Degree Black Belt) and Kinsie Flame (3rd Degree Black Belt) as well as a staff of expert instructors and assistants, Jacob Flame's Tang Soo Do University offers a number of programs for physical fitness and instruction in Martial Arts.
Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Tang Soo Do and other martial arts and have attained an elite level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.
Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students.
