Friends of the Library are people who care about libraries and are interested in increasing awareness of the library in their communities. The County Library currently has 77 Friends of the Library groups with over 5,523 members.
Friends of the Library support the library by:
holding fundraising events such as book sales
sponsoring and staffing library events
helping recruit volunteers
Friends of the Library are self-supporting, holding meetings governed by a constitution and by-laws, electing officers, and maintaining their own financial records. Membership is open to anyone interested in helping to enhance library services in their community.
